As things are tight and many publishers can't chip in for launches (unless your a corrupt ex-MP who writes trash) I've combined the get-together and the launch at Pizza Paradiso, starting at 6PM (pay-bar, no freebies) and eating at 7:30


There's plenty of room for more people, BUT PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP UNLESS YOU'VE BOOKED A PLACE THROUGH ME OR HAD A FORMAL INVITE.


That's because the restaurant needs accurate numbers to set up the room

In My Sticky Hands

I have had my author's copies and a couple of boxes of "Ballistics" here for a few days but, laid low with this monstrous bug, I've been taking the read slowly.


First thoughts is it looks GREAT! (Thanx Jen)

Second thoughts I omitted thanks to a very kind BCer who copy-edited the MS and I now feel guilty as well as sick

and third I forgot to thank a fellow writer (here) for a quoted part

I'd hang myself but I'm too tired to climb up on a chair.




FOURTH THOUGHT

How different to read a story CAREFULLY in print, in a collection. IMO they read about 50% better than when we print them off or read on line.
